control alt backspace doesnt work any more?

I'm using Ubuntu Jaunty, fully updated and found that the control alt backspace function doesnt work?????
For me personally its an essential tool that will quickly get me out of trouble if I ever encounter system problems, I really hope its a bug and not been taken out on purpose!

A feature LOL you've got to be kidding me! Its a step backwards in my
opinion and from what I'm reading on the net I'm certainly not the only
person to think so. Its a real shame.
