Thanks for the logs.

It seems like there is a leftover cdrom source that is no longer accessable. Could you please remove the cdrom source from your sources.list file (e.g. via software-properties-kde or software-properties-gtk) and try again?

Hi Michael,

FYI - Following your advice, I removed the CD-Rom from the sources.list (which even though is the active CD ROM drive, and it does work).
I then upgraded to 9.04 kubuntu and the installation completed ok, however when i rebooted i was not able to login to KDE. I managed to logon to a console session, but still couldn't get to an x-window. Then, through trial and error, and a couple hours of pulling out hair, i ran sudo dpkg --configure -a from console, and then rebooted, and was able to login to KDE.
There's definitely some bugs in the 9.04 kubuntu installation. Let me know if you need more info.

Regards,

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
