opening new window scrolls to middle of window instead to bottom

Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

With disabled tabs, disabled "close IM after tab is closed", and windows set to open automatically with a new conversation:
If after a chat I close a window, and the same person I've been chatting with writes, window opens scrolled on a middle of chat (previous saved messages), so I have to scroll down to see what he has written.
