Max error on first start

Bug Description
The first time Max is started and a cd is inserted, the album windows pop-up and if I download artwork and then try to rip the tracks on the CD, I get an error: Column identifiers used with NSTableView autosave feature must conform to NSCoding protocol. If I try to press Encode again after that, the I get the error message: A ripping or encoding operation is already in progress. but the ripping is not active. Ejecting the CD and reinserting it takes care of the problem.

This bug started happening to me a lot.
Today the work-around of ejecting and re-inserting the disk is not working.
I deleted my preferences file, but the problem persists.
I actually think this is a character set issue.
