Bug Description

When trying to install a bunch of Applications on a fresh Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope stable i386 installation; using the Add/Remove application showing ALL applications available (supported, restricted, thirdparty etc), after selecting/checking more than 4 applications from a list and searching for others under the category "All" it won't display any results even though the same application exists while searching for it under it's defined category (For example searching Firefox under ALL won't display anything yet would display results when searching under the category Internet) and it hangs/loads slowly after selecting/checking some more applications, even at times not showing results at all (Even though I already selected/checked a certain application, when I search for it again it shows 0 results as if it doesn't exist although when I try to close the Add/remove program, it says if I want to apply the changes and install the applications, discard them or cancel).
