Bug Description

Ubuntu 9.04

Canonical has begun user testing of Ubuntu and its applications. During our first testing session, one test subject dragged a file to the "Places" pane of the Open file dialog, which then showed up in the Nautilus "Places" pane as well. But clicking on this item in Nautilus produces an error message.

1. In a Nautilus window with the "Places" pane visible, choose "Edit" > "Backgrounds and Emblems".
2. Choose "Add a New Pattern".
3. Drag one of the images to the "Places" pane in the "Select an Image File to Add as a Pattern" dialog.
4. Click on a folder in the dialog's "Places" pane.
5. Click on the new item for the image in the "Places" pane.
6. Click on the corresponding item in Nautilus's "Places" pane.

What happens:
5. The folder containing the image opens in the dialog, with the image selected.
6. An error alert appears: 'Could not display "/usr/share/nautilus/patterns/fleur_de_lis.png". The location is not a folder."

What should happen:
5. The folder containing the image opens in the dialog, with the image selected.
6. The folder containing the image opens in Nautilus, with the image selected.
