keyboard inputs ignored in certain situations

Certain keyboard inputs are ignored if you click once on a drop down menu in certain situations, for example:

* Applications menu in gnome
* File menu of Evolution

Key combinations such as ALT + TAB or vol+ do not function.

Firefox does not seem to be effected by this behavior - keyboard input whilst having a drop down menu open gives the expected output.

Hi,

I have not tried in Lucid as I am not running Lucid.

I can give it a try in a VM, but this may not be accurate testing as its not the same set up I had when reporting the bug.

Just tried it in a fully up to date Jaunty VM, and can confirm the behaviour as originally reported is the same.
