Bug Description

I have a custom ~/.Xmodmap file. After a recent update this file no longer loads when I log in, I have to enter the command by hand (which is a bit annoying).

eaburns@flynn:~$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release: 8.04

thank you for your bug report, what desktop environment do you use? what did you upgrade exactly?

Gnome 2.22.3

I am not sure what the upgrade was. This install is on a dell mini 9 and apparently dell has changed the update manager so that it doesn't display what it is upgrading. Is there another way of seeing what packages have been recently updated?

I can confirm the same bug, on the same dell mini 9 ubuntu install. Currently trying a workaround adding the xmodmap command to ~/.xsession

The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance.
