Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

It started after the update to FF3.0.9. Hardy Heron's memory suddenly begins skyrocketing. It continues to fill the memory till it has to dump it on the swap drive. I think it is some sort of script from facebook causing the problem.

Firefox got to points of taking up to 1.5 GBs of RAM.

I am having the same problem. Firefox is using all my memory with no extra tabs or windows open. at one time it used 1.7GB. I closed firefox and my memory resources dramatically dropped back down. happens since 3.0.9
