Bug Description

Hello,

Just installed Jaunty (9.04). I enabled remote desktop on it and set a password (vino, 2.26.1).

When I connect to this machine from another using xtightvncviewer, I get Jaunty's desktop okay, but mouse does not work on the client: no menus open, right click does not work, etc. But the actions do occur on Jaunty's desktop! They just do not show on the client I am trying them. Jaunty is using Nvidia driver (173 I think), if it matters.

(During this, I have allowed the users to see and control Jaunty's desktop via remote desktop application.)

FWIW, same problem here with nvidia closed-source driver, both 173 and 180. Works OK if I change to nv, though. I've got a GeForce 8500.

disable compiz and your vnc should start working.

There is a compatibility issue with the latest xorg and compiz.
