In a just-installed Kubuntu 9.04, something did the system that it wanted to install a package which depends on this one, and then it crashed.

Was this just a problem with disk space (as Michael's post would seem to indicate)?

In fact, it looks like this might be a duplicate of bug 463522. That has exactly the same error message, and exactly the same version of python support (the one in Jaunty). I'll mark this back to new and set that as a duplicate.

And I should really stop adding comments before I've looked through things. It seems they are both duplicates of bug 332086, which was caused by a problem in the 'deluge' bittorrent client, and has since been fixed. Will now mark this as a duplicate, please reopen if you believe it's a separate problem.
