audio not working for hp elitebook 6930p

the audio for my hp elitebook 6930p does not work. using my headphones i can hear the audio, so it basically works.
my /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf looks like :

adding the last line fixed the same problem for 8.10, but unfortunately not for 9.04.

I've solved also in 9.04 doing those 2 operation (I don't know which is the resolutive one)

added this in /etc/modprobe-d/alsa-base.conf
"options snd-hda-intel model=laptop "

then I've kill the process "pulseaudio" (I've found that solution on a forum) I think the right solution is in alsa-base.conf

On an HP 6930p using Jaunty GA, I had this problem (exactly as in Intrepid, see bug 269027). Adding the "options snd-hda-intel model=laptop" to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf fixed it, again.

The OP (Andy) said adding "snd-hda-intel model=laptop" to that file didn't help, but that line is missing the "options" part. Andy, that's probably why the workaround didn't work the first time.

i did a brand new installation of karmic koala and the problem did not occur anymore. so i guess you can close this issue!
