Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

1. Ubuntu 8.10 - the Intrepid Ibex - released in October 2008 - 64bit

2. synaptic 0.62.1 ubuntu 10

3. My system updated to day (23-04-2009) some security updates for Firefox. After the installation has been finished, the system asked me to restart the web browser - so I did it.

4. Restarted Firefox is working normally, but all time long there is an information popping up on top of each opened tab saying "Your browser has been updated and needs to be restarted".

I've restarted Firefox no. of times; I've restarted system as well; I've check for new updates again - there was nothing new to update; I'm not using any other web browser.

This popping information is very irritating, and I don't know how to make it not pop again.

Could you help please?

Kind Regards,
