Bug Description
affects jaunty version 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu2
regression w.r.t. intrepid version
after booting, on the screen where kdm displays the login dialog, the background image is distorted
- background image is the (default) white circles on blue background
- the image is vertically stretched
- my display is 1280x1024
- before the upgrade from intrepid the display was correct (circles were circles)
after login the display becomes correct (same background image)

It is scaled so that it won't cause issues on wide screens (bug 259181)
However, there really should be a better solution than the workaround employed to solve bug 259181.
