Bug Description
Binary package hint: yakuake
Using a Dell Studio 15, ATI Mobiity Radeon 3400 HD.
In Intrepid, Yakuake would appear instantly on my hotkey (F12); however, in Jaunty the hotkey activates Yakuake a few seconds after it is pressed. It works fine, but it takes long time to activate. This problem also occured in Intrepid when I updated the xserver-xorg-* to particular ppa2 versions, but that may not be helpful.

Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04
I believe this is the Release Candidate as I updated yesterday, April 21. I did not place a comment in similar bugs because this is a slow appearance issue rather than a crash or text issue.

I am also experiencing this issue, but I have ASUS X71A Notebook with Intel Mobile 4 integrated series. I have changed my window manager to Metacity and I get almost instant response, so it seems the bug is tied down to so Compiz. I have removed most of the extras in compiz-config and also applied rules to not include yakuake in running effects, but it didn't help. I guess compiz isn't happy with the high speed resizing motion of the dropping down yakuake.
