Bug Description
Binary package hint: kdesdk
While running one kate process for some long time it suddenly crashed while pressing SHIFT+LEFTARROW.
possibly i hit CTRL too.
i wanted to mark some whitespace at the end of the line.
at crash time 3 documents where opened, the focused one was a .js file.
also the system was under load.

Hey lirel,
Unfortunately the backtrace provided by Kate is not useful to actually trace the crash's origin. So, if it is reproducible for you, it would be very nice if you could obtain a new backtrace, but this time with the package kdesdk-dbg installed. Hopefully that should provide a more complete set of information we can work with.
If you can't reproduce the issue, I am afraid we have to close the bug as invalid since finding the issue without proper backtrace is (at least for kate) very very difficult to impossible.
