i8042-based keyboard on notebook fails to work after resume from S3 sleep. Works OK after resume from hibernation, though. USB mouse and keyboard also work OK. Problem does not appear to be related to X as I can switch to console after resume w/USB keyboard but i8042 keyboard remains dead.

Follow-up: This appears to happen in the x86 version as well; not limited to amd64.

you mentioned that this is a regression. Just to
confirm: did this work properly in Ubuntu 8.10?

Just tested it to be certain. With a stock 8.10 ISO, it actually is worse: both keyboard AND mouse (USB, PS/2 touchpad) hang after resume in 8.10.
