Ark cannot create archives from symlink path

Binary package hint: ark

Kubuntu Jaunty 9.04 BETA.
ark 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu2

Procedure:
1* Open Ark
2* Create a NEW archive
3* Select an file OR folder that is inside an symbolic linked folder

Result:
it appears a infinite folder chain and no real file is compressed.
