Bug Description

Dividers in the Grub boot list such as "Other operating systems:" should not be choosable. Currently dividers are created by typing entries with the format such as below:

title Other operating systems:
root

There should be a special way to make a divider such as:

divider Other operating systems:

Which will be treated specially (not choosable by the user).

I think maybe it _should_ be choosable. Not bootable though, but I don't think it is right now. I sort of feel one should be able to select dividers and edit them with 'e'.

I agree. There should be a defacto grub text-only entry. Not only would make life easier to put dividers, but also for comments and needed info.

The development effort has moved to grub2. Perhaps someone should report upstream...

We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

I use HP DX2818, Windows XP installed in it,and I install Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop in it by myself ,working fine. While when it swithed the OS from Ubuntu to XP,it also wrok fine, from XP to Ubuntu, it did not process, the computer show that:".......no module name found.......". Then it used Ubuntu LiveCD and follow this:http://grub.enbug.org/Grub2LiveCdInstallGuide and restart PC,it works fine. I am very puzzled with it,if I used XP ,the computer do not grub and show :no module name found.
