Bug Description
Binary package hint: gdm
This is probably the same as one of the other gdm font bugs, but they didn't look quite the same.
This is with the Jaunty RC, clean install.
The fonts in the login screen are mostly microscopic -- too small to read. This applies to the actual text of the username you type in, as well the text in the options menu.
However, the prompt asking you to type in the username / password is the right size, as is the "Options" text itself and the date at the bottom.
I'm using a 1360x768 widescreen monitor (actually, a television).
This happens with the normal ATI driver as well as the fglrx driver - no difference.
Expected behavior:
The username/password and the menu text should all be in the same font size as the prompt and date. This looks very bad after a new install.
