Update manager error message.

Bug Description

Using Jaunty kernel 2.6.28-11-generic. Update manager gave the following message once the list of updates appeared:

E: The package cache file is corrupted.
E: _cache>open() failed, please report.

The process for installing the updates then went ahead as usual.

Thank you Brian,

It would seem logical to me to associate this bug with Update Manager.
I was not sure though which cache the error message was referring to.
