Bug Description

hi, i have problem with my printer Canon S400. if i print test page, everything looks good, but if i tried to print image (photograph) it not looks too good.
look there:

it seems, that uses only elementary colors.

i tried to use gimp-printing, but images from that is TOO brighlty/lightly and i can't adjust it for good output.

another problem is, that printer prints slower than in m$ win. (2x - 4x slower)

same problems is with S100 printer:

Color inkjet printer, max. 1440x720 dpi, works Mostly

Mostly is not very well?

s400a1.upp (Home page, view PPD, download PPD)
For 360dpi.

General driver notes: The S400 and the BJC-3000 (nearly identical printers) are also supported by Gimp-Print, but with this driver the author did more fine-tuning on the colour curves. He has even written some small program for that (downloadable from the driver's web page). He claims that the quality is much better than the quality of Gimp-Print or even Windows. The driver is only tested on plain paper, reports about its quality on other papers and additional optimizations for other papers are welcome.
