update-manager doesn't clean up if not enough space

Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

when updating to jaunty (using "update-manager -d") without enough disk space, the updater stops and doesn't change sources.list back to the old version.

update-manager changes sources.list to jaunty's repositories (backing up old one to sources.list.distUpgrade); then finds there's not enough disk space (and tells me); then stops. It should restore the sources.list and "apt-get update".

Fix (if anyone else gets this):
Applications > Accessories > Terminal
sudo cp /etc/apt/sources.list.distUpgrade /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo apt-get update

Thanks for your bugreport.

It should have keept and restored your previous sources.list file. I just tested it in my local version of u-m and it seems to be doing the right thing. Could you please give me the output of:
$ ls -l /etc/apt/ /var/lib/apt/lists
