Title: package linux-image-
Hi inkashes,
I'm a bit confused as the data provided in this bug report indicates an update error rather an issue with sound as the bug title describes. From your DpkgTerminalLog I see the following:
Failed to symbolic-link boot/initrd. img-2.6. 28-11-generic to initrd.img. 2.6.28- 11-generic (--configure):
dpkg: error processing linux-image-
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 17
Based on that this seems to be a duplicate of bug 292159 which was actually a bug in casper and should be resolved as of casper 1.162. Please make sure you have this newer version.
Regarding the sound bug, could you open a new bug by running the following in a Terminal:
ubuntu-bug -p linux
If you could then run:
apport-collect-p alsa-base <bug#>
Where <bug#> is the bug number of the new report that was filed. It will automatically gather and attach relevant sound related debug information. See https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/KernelTeam/ KernelTeamBugPo licies for more information. For now I'm marking this bug as a duplicate of bug 292159. Thanks.
