Bug Description
Kubuntu 9.04 amd64 Desktop (2009-04-15)
Starting amarok from the Live-Session will not offer to download additional codecs from restricted. So trying to play any mp3 based files or stream will result in amarok pretend to do something (no error message) without any output.
The same actions on the installed system will bring up the icon to install the codecs and after restarting amarok playing mp3 works.

I am after some research unconvinced this is an amarok problem. Not sure where to place it exactly. The code to show that notification is in /usr/bin/ update- notifier- kde, but the installation would need the sources from multiverse, which is not active for the live-system.
