Bug Description

Upgraded to 9.04 Beta and have no sound anymore.
Hardware is ok, tested with 8.04 and had sound without problems but on 9.04 it doesn't work. (Means I can't listen to music/video or hear ubuntu startup jingle).
The only sound i can hear is the beep on shutdown via gnome fast-user-switch and myself through microphone when i rise the volume in alsamixer. Checked alsamixer to unmute all relevant channels.

I am sorry, this was very confusing. Following this bug report https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=2873, I found the DAC Volume which was muted. It's the last one in alsamixer.
So i have now sound on T21 with 9.04. But why was this muted during update process?
