Bug Description
It seems there are some patches to use the nice circle character instead of '*'
as the invisible character in GtkEntry (this is the character when you type
passwords).
But wouldn't it be easier to just change the default invisible character in GTK?
We could avoid lots of patches and this would make things more consistent (since
there are still a lot of '*' in some softwares). It's easy to do: it's just a
matter of modifying one line in gtk_entry_init().

Do you have an idea on how that's handled by the different fonts ? There is a bugzilla. ubuntu. com/show_ bug.cgi? id=7566
