Bug Description

I'm afraid I can't give you any reproduction recipe more detailed than "my laptop seems to crash whenever my wife tries to switch to her user". It's a 15" PowerBook with this graphics card:

0000:00:10.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 [Mobility Radeon 9600 M10]

Here's the syslog output from the crash:

By the way, this is with linux-image-2.6.15-18-powerpc 2.6.15-18.27. I'll try upgrading to current and see if that clears things up.

I just experienced somewhat of the same thing on my desktop system. My gf was logged in, I switched to my user, the switched back to hers. When I switched back to her user, the mouse was all messed, and some of the graphics were messed up. I switched back to my user where the graphics were so messed up, I couldn't do anything. So I switched back to her user and X froze. I had to hard restart.

Athlon XP, Nvidia GeForce3 (binary drivers), Kubuntu 6.06, fully up to date.

I just had pretty much the same crash on Edgy (libc6 and a few other minor things upgraded to Feisty, everything else as-is):
