Project driver can't register a series

I am a driver on the IPython project (I am a member of the team that is the project driver):

https://launchpad.net/~ipython-dev

But, I can't Register a series for the project. Someone else on the lp freenode site tested this on a different project and they also said that a driver can't register a series (it must be the owner). This seems like a bug because all of our drivers need to be able to do this.

I just tested this and you're right, the driver can't add new series. As a workaround you could set the maintainer as the ~ipython-dev team and everyone on that team would be able to add new series.
I'm moving this to the lp-registry so Curtis can give the rationale why drivers can't add new series or confirm this is indeed a bug.

I have also found that I can't edits many other things about the
series like adding branches or milestones.

This is indeed not what we intend. We are working on the project and series behaviours for the next two releases. I want this fixed soon.
