Bug Description

Binary package hint: lbreakout2

Finding that during gameplay the game pauses randomly and spontaneously.
This occurs under Intrepid and Jaunty - when compiz is running, it is forced to windowed mode whenever it pauses.

Hi there,

I had the same problem too (Ubuntu Intrepid). I solved it by disabling gnome-screensaver.

I believe the bug is not lbreakout2's fault, but gnome-screensaver's or libsdl. Having said that, this bug should still be fixed -- a user should not have to disable the screensaver.

Changed in lbreakout2 (Ubuntu):

Happens to me also when opening a Javascript file (possibly same issue - the cursor is located towards the end of a long line when no line wrapping is enabled).

Opening another file first solves the problem for me.

Since lbreakout2 uses SDL this is probably another manifestation of #32457. Marking as duplicate.
