Bug Description

With the up-to-date jaunty when i add a bookmark from firefox with webfav extension, in the netbook-launcher the icon is not displayed, only shows a generic icon, by the way the shortcut works. I've also tried to change the proposed icon with one in .png format that i have downloaded previously, but the result is the same, only a generic icon shown.
If i add a shortcut of an installed program (ex. Openoffice Calc) this works correctly, so i think the problem is only with bookmarks from web. Thanks for your work guys!

Hi, anyone had this bug except from me? Actually is the only glitch i have on my dell mini (and a little crash of gnome-user-share, the bug is still open), this could be a perfect release :-)

hey, i have this problem too running the netbook remix. From what I can gather via searches, this problem has been reported under other different guises. it seems, if I understood correctly, that webfav searches for/saves icons in a directory that is no longer present in the updated UNR. Hopefully someone who knows how will try, although it is only a matter of aesthetics it seems a simple enough fix for a linux expert.

Like you this is the only downside to UNR for me. as a complete virgin to linux, finding Ubuntu saved my Acer Aspire One from being returned, as linpus was not very user friendly. I would love to have instantly recognisable icons for bookmarks in the favorites tab, as this would improve the user interaction and fit in well with the intuitive GI of UNR

He, on karmic at least (not sure for jaunty), you need to install gnome-web-photo package to get a preview of the webpage some minutes after the bookmard has been added.

You can see that and more tips at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuNetbookEdition/BasicUsage
