digikam gets nearly unresponsive and blocks system while connecting to iphone

Bug Description

Binary package hint: digikam

When connecting to an Iphone, digikam gets sometimes very slow and my whole system nearly doesn't respond any more (at least KDE). The first time I connected the iphone to download pictures, it worked. But this time not; I tried several times. Would be happy to provide you with more usefull information.

System: jaunty,
digikam: 2:0.10.0-1ubuntu3

The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/KDE.
