Bug Description

Opening a documet and using the mouse-wheel to brwose it leads to a crash. Even using the scroll bar (dragging the control) leads to a crash.
I experienced this in writer and calc.
I removed the openoffice.org-gnome package and now it works fine.

Does this happen with every bug? Can you supply a test document that crashes it?

It would also be great if you could get a backtrace when it crashes. Please see http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash for how to do it.

For the backtrace: as soon as I can get to a DSL connection (maybe this afternoon - Italy time - or at least tomorrow) I will do it... I'm on a 56Kb!

- not reproducible
- which platform do you use?
- is the gnome "assistive technology support" enabled? if yes, please disable it, restart and retry.
- are nvidia/fglrx drivers from restricted installed? if yes, please recheck with the free drivers.

I saw ther's a new version of openoffice in the repository... I will upgrade and see if it is still present... the version I was using is 2.0.2-1ubuntu3!

Still using 2.0.2-1ubuntu3 on i386:
- using ati or fglrx
- assistive technology on
- crash

- using ati or fglrx
- assistive technology off
- does not crash

Thanks!
