Banshee does not read or update OGG Vorbis comment metadata

Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

On loading an .ogg file into Banshee, I noticed that it was showing as "Unknown Artist". Listing the Vorbis comment metadata showed otherwise:

$ vorbiscomment -l /data/Sounds/Songs/Andy/Jet/Look\ What\ You\'ve\ Done.ogg
ALBUM=Get Born
ARTIST=Jet
DESCRIPTION=
GENRE=
TITLE=Look What You've Done
TRACKNUMBER=4
DATE=2003

I then edited the track metadata in Banshee and saved, but despite having the "save metadata to files" option selected, the Vorbis comments were not changed (I verified this by writing some different metadata than was already there).

Does Banshee even support the Vorbis comment metadata specification as used in .ogg?

Having discussed this with Andy on irc it seems there was a corrupt ogg file imported. I was able to confirm that banshee works as expected.

Changed in banshee (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

This is probably best ignored. I can only reproduce it with that one file, it works for others, so perhaps the file is corrupt.
