Confirmed. Requesting installation of libipe1c2a results in the entire gnome desktop being removed and at least two broken dependencies.

Confirmed. Installation requests to remove complete KDE 4 and many other unrelated programs such as skype or firefox.

Confirmed, I really hope this can be fixed before the final release as it would be a shame if IPE (which depends on it) can not be used on Jaunty anymore.

ipe build-conflicts with libfreetype6-dev >= 2.3.8, actually jaunty provides 2.3.9-4build1

The sync request at bug #343755 should fix this too.

The dependeny was resolved by synching the fixed debian version. see #343755
