Bug Description

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

When I updated my ubuntu intrepid to jaunty, I have no sound.

The problem is that: Pulseaudio don't recognize my Hardware (in intrepid pulseaudio recognize it)

My Hardware:
cat /proc/asound/cards
 0 [Intel ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel
HDA Intel at 0xf9ff8000 irq 22
 1 [WE ]: USB-Audio - DJ Console (WE)
Hercules DJ Console (WE) at usb-0000:00:1a.1-1, full speed

I use Dj console for all sounds.

This is the log of pulseaudio in debug mode: http://paste.ubuntu.com/149520/

I can't post it entire because the console doesn't permitted me (a lot of lines).

Sorry by my english.

Is this symptom reproducible using the most current daily-live desktop Lucid image?

The persistant problem since Karmic seems to be partially solved by reseting puleaudio by moving the puleaudio config files

rm -r ~/.pulse

But in Lucid it this fix failed and it failed to see my hardware. Had to sudo killall pulseaudio.

If I open pavu volume control, I can see various options now under configuration, but changing the settings there results in freezing.
