Bug Description

Binary package hint: xfree86-driver-synaptics

Jaunty hangs on boot on my Acer Aspire 9500.
According to my dmesg, it hangs (3 minutes !) here:

[ 14.652006] Synaptics Touchpad, model: 1, fw: 6.2, id: 0x12a0b1, caps: 0xa04713/0x204000
[ 14.684298] input: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad as /devices/platform/i8042/serio4/input/input8
[ 193.358366] lp0: using parport0 (interrupt-driven).
[ 193.500831] Adding 1156640k swap on /dev/sda6. Priority:-1 extents:1 across:1156640k
[ 194.073383] EXT4 FS on sdb2, internal journal on sdb2:8

I tried with the beta and the daily-live (2009/04/11).

Thanks

Sorry, I realize that this hang is in fact due to this bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/316405

It's workaround (include saa7134 in blacklist) solved my problem.

Changed in xfree86-driver-synaptics (Ubuntu):
