The Amarok menu icon is still working for me (following upgrade from Intrepid).

Things to look at:
- Is that the only Amarok icon in the menu? Try going to Applications, then Multimedia. If there's another one that works, add it to your favourites, and remove the dud.
- Uninstall Amarok (for maximum effect, "sudo aptitude purge amarok"), then reinstall it ("sudo aptitude install amarok" or via kpackagekit), and see if it works.
- Go into menu editor (right click on the menu button, then click menu editor) and find the page for Amarok--in my (working) system, the command it has stored is: "amarok %U"

I too upgraded from Intrepid, so it's a bit curious.

This indeed worked, thanks.

I had already tried this (without the purge, however), to no avail.

Ah, I was wondering where the menu editor had disappeared to...

Thanks! I've got it back in favorites now, and it works fine.

Glad I could help. My guess is that somewhere along the line another icon got made, which wasn't associated with the package, so didn't get properly tidied up.

Closing the bug as invalid, please re-open if you (anyone) knows what made or left the dud icon.

Changed in amarok (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
