Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-app-install
On a fully updated Jaunty Beta (april 10, 2009), gnome-app-install just crashed on me the moment I switched categories (Audio / Video to Educational). Before I did that, I had selected some gstreamer codecs I wanted to install, but didn't continue installing those packages yet. When gnome-app-install crashed, I expected this selection to be lost.
However, when I restarted gnome-app-install, the previous state wasn't lost. Seems I can just continue installing the packages I selected. Of course, the app shouldn't crash in the first place, but not losing my selection after a crash is a positive thing. Or maybe I was simply lucky ;-)

Actually, it appears that gnome-app-install doesn't actually crash (or at least, not the GUI). It does happen over and over again though, as soon as I switch to a new category. The contents of the category isn't displayed until I click on the previous category, and then on to the next category (the one I wanted to switch to in the first place) again. Then as soon as I move on to the next category who's content I haven't seen yet, I get the crash report again.
