Bug Description

Binary package hint: nouveau-kernel-source

I think this is down to the nouveau driver as this originally worked with the nv driver. It may also be an issue with the wireless lan. The laptop goes to sleep properly but wakes up to a blank screen and will not switch to a text console or anything. All I can do is hold the power button.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from resuming properly.
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
ExecutablePath: /usr/share/apport/apportcheckresume
Failure: suspend/resume

 status wontfix

Currently, nouveau doesn't support suspend - the card will be in an
inconsistent state after resume.

If your card can suspend & resume with the nv driver, you could probably
get suspend/resume working with nouveau by not loading the DRM module -
this will disable all acceleration, though, so it's not very practical.
Alternatively, there's an experimental patch available which might make
nouveau handle suspend/resume in the same cases that the nv driver
handles it; you can find them (and more details) on the nouveau wiki:
http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/Suspend_support

Changed in nouveau-kernel-source (Ubuntu):
