Bug Description

Hello,
I'm using Ubuntu Jaunty BETA.
I'm experiencing problems with IPv6 configuration.
I also tried Miredo, but the problem is the same.
After I enable the tunnel broker, I'm reachable by other IPv6 PCs for a few seconds, after that they can't reach me in any way, and I can't access IPv6 websites too.

Alessandro,

I cannot reproduce your problem. We need more information about your problem.
Have you tried "sudo aiccu test" ?

Here's what I did, step by step:
- Installed Jaunty
- Installed some more packages (ubuntu-restricted-extras and skype)
- Installed Miredo
- Asked to a friend to ping me → OK
- Tried to reach http://www.sixxs.net → FAILED (Firefox can resolve
the name, reach the server, but hangs on "Waiting for www.sixxs.net")
- Installed apache2
- My friend could see "It works"
- Installed openssh-server
- The friend could NOT reach me on ssh
- He tried again to reach me on apache, and he couldn't, same thing for ping
- I typed my IPv6 address in firefox, and "It works"
- I restarted Miredo (changed address) and I was reachable again in
SSH, but I couldn't surf IPv6 websites
- After a few seconds, SSH connection closed and my friend couldn't
reach me (but I could reach myself).

vlad@vlad:~$ sudo aiccu test
vlad@vlad:~$

vlad@vlad:~$ ping6 sixxs.net -c 3
PING sixxs.net(noc.sixxs.net) 56 data bytes
64 bytes from noc.sixxs.net: icmp_seq=1 ttl=56 time=72.2 ms
64 bytes from noc.sixxs.net: icmp_seq=2 ttl=56 time=72.4 ms
64 bytes from noc.sixxs.net: icmp_seq=3 ttl=56 time=72.5 ms

vlad@vlad:~$ cat /var/log/debug
[...]
Apr 10 10:37:46 vlad kernel: [ 272.180032] sixxs: no IPv6 routers present
vlad@vlad:~$

If you need something more, I'm here.
I also forgot to say that this bug was present in 8.10, but with 8.10
I wasn't reachable at all!
I think it's a problem of the new network manager.
Please, if you can, solve soon because I need an IPv6 tunnel broker in
production.

Alessandro,

Do I see right, "aiccu test" didn't give anything?

Exactly, now instead it gives regular output and everything works...
Maybe some files have been corrupted during the previous installation...

Closed the bug... I should work harder in launchpad :)
(but interesting, nobody seems to be interested in open bugs... )

Changed in aiccu (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
