Ubuntu can not work with UBIQUAM UM-300 PCMCIA Type II Card. Can you solve the problem?

This is not a firefox bug. from what you state it is Ubuntu most likely network-manager i have changed it to n-m and i will let them decide if that is right place.

1. please attach your complete syslog after booting
2. please attach output of lsusb, lspci and lshal
3. try latest jaunty (9.04) daily CDs we have improved how modems are detected, so it might just work there for you
