when compositing is off after terminal transparency is enabled, it goes black

1. i set transparency for the terminal with compiz enabled but when i turn off com-positing (compiz) transparency goes to a black color as u can see in the screen shot

2. i expected that it (terminal) disable its transparency at the moment, so i could get the white background in the terminal as it is when transparency is disable.

3. if u need some extra info, please just ask, i am working with jaunty jackalope amd64 kernel linux 2.6.28-11-generic

thanks for the report manzur, do you get the same with terminator (the terminal emulator) that's maybe a vte issue rather than a gnome-terminal one.

sorry it has being a long time since i answered this, and i did not receive any answer so I forgot about this, let me tell you i tied terminator and it has the same behaving.

I've repeated the same steps you give us on the first place but cannot reproduce the issue here, which video card do you have? could you attach your Xorg.conf to the report? thanks manzur.
