Login window incorrectly formats 24h time when "auto" 24h selected in preferences

Bug Description

In Jaunty beta (fully updated), if I have system date & time preferences set to show 24h time, AND I enable "auto" against the 24h time display option in Login Window preferences, the login window will display 24h time WITH AM or PM, for example:

14:10 PM

This is obviously wrong!

If I select "yes" against Use 24h clock, the time is correctly displayed WITHOUT the AM or PM flag:

14:10

affects: ubuntu → gdm (Ubuntu)

thank you for your bug report, you should be using ubuntu-bug to report bugs though so it would provide basic informations as the gdm version installed or the locale you are using, the issue could be bug #256283 which has been fixed recently, what gdm version is installed?

Changed in gdm (Ubuntu):
assignee: nobody → Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs)
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Incomplete
