Bug Description

Binary package hint: brasero

Hi.

I can Burn DVDRW with all other linux distros I have tried and windows - on the same dvd media and drive.

DVD buring works on Arch linux, opensuse 11,1 and Debian Lenny (x86 + amd64) always - I use kde on all those systems.

On ubuntu it fails using Brasero nearly 100% of the time when I burn a dvd iso.

It always fails during syncing the cache - never before

I have attached the log from Brasero

When I put the blank dvd in I get

thanks for the report yossarian, the error throw there is : BraseroGrowisofs stderr: :-[ WRITE@LBA=28b80h failed with SK=5h/ASC=A8h/ACQ=04h]: Input/output error
BraseroGrowisofs stderr: :-( write failed: Input/output error
BraseroGrowisofs stderr: /dev/sr0: flushing cache
but that doesn't say too much, could you get another log if possible with brasero -g --brasero-media-debug &> brasero-debug.txt and attach that to the report? it would possible contain more information about it.

Does the dmesg shows any information after the failure on brasero?
