Bug Description

Intrepid, up to date firefox and gnome-panel. I'm using compiz.

When visiting http://blog.oup.com/2009/03/science-fiction/ in firefox my gnome-panel crashes. It does not crash until I switch to the tab which makes me think that it may be related to the page title being displayed on the window list.

I started gnome-panel from gnome-terminal to see what sort of crash it is, I get this:

daniel@silver:~$ gnome-panel

(gnome-panel:6969): Gdk-WARNING **: /build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.14.4/gdk/x11/gdkdrawable-x11.c:878 drawable is not a pixmap or window
Segmentation fault

Note that the Gdk warning was already displayed before the page was viewed and the panel crashed.

The problem is replicable using Firefox 3.0.8+nobinonly-0ubuntu2, Firefox Shiretoko 3.5~b4~hg20090330r24021+nobinonly-0ubuntu1, Epiphany 2.26.0-0ubuntu3.
There is no problem instead using Konqueror 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu3 nor using Opera 9.64.2480.gcc4.qt3.

Is the bug in pango a private one or it's a problem with my own permissions to view reported bugs?

I would really like to follow the bug that this one is a duplicate of too. Is it possible for those of us with interest to be given permission?
