I tried to follow the instructions your link pointed to, but had no success - gdb always ended with the message "Program exited normally." and I could not get a backtrace.

When I recently reproduced the bug, the KCrash automatically gave me some output, though. You find it the attachment, maybe this will be of some help. If not, please give me some more directions on the use of gdb so I can deliver a backtrace.

It will great if you can test this bug with the latest Ubuntu release 9.10 to confirm if it's still a problem with this version ?
You can try the iso LiveCD image and test with it if you didn't haved installed the last version. Thanks in advance!
