Bug Description

We currently have the basics working for https://bugs.launchpad.net/karl3/+bug/347502 with KARL3 behind nginx/proxy. However, for the virtual hosting part, ChrisM said we don't need repoze.vhm and that it should Just Work if we set the correct environment variables in the proxy configuration. (He pointed to docs about Apache's PasProxySomethingOrOther.)

This task is to get the repoze.vhm part out of the pipeline in etc/osi.ini and out of the buildout.cfg. It is a low priority because we have something that is working correctly.

If you need suggestions from ChrisM, email him directly (or ask on the osi-dev list). Stated differently, don't come to me because I don't do (a) modems (b) regular expressions or (c) proxy configurations. [wink]

Chris was right: all we needed was ProxyPreserveHost.
