kate sometimes crashes when opening files

Ubuntu 8.10 on x86_64

Kate intermittently crashes when opening a file. I'm running gnome desktop, but using the Kate application.

Some bugs with kate crashes was been solved at las SVN commit in this bug:

Maybe your problem was solved too. Waiting for this commit comes to ubuntu updates...

This bug is most likely the bug described here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172819 , and should be fixed in KDE 4.2 or higher.
