update-manager can't show changes lists for PPA packages

Binary package hint: update-manager
Hello!
I've been a bit surprised that update-manager can't show the changes files for PPA packages. Not only that (missing feature), it also suggests users to visit a completely bogus address to see the changes list (bug).
For instance, when doing an update for the package amarok14, available in my PPA at https:/
Since the PPAs are a very common and useful feature of Ubuntu (and getting even more use as time passes), it would be very useful if the update-manager would notice when it's doing an update from one of these archives and retrieve the correct changes files. (Also, it would seem rather easy to find this changes file, at least for PPAs on launchpad.net)

I'm not sure this is really a wishlist enhancement request. In Update Manager right now, I see that my PPA for telepathy-gabble suggests an upgrade. Description of update: Changes gives me "Failed to detect distribution", which is an error.
For reference, I'm fairly sure the relevant package (and changelog) is
